Thank you just doesn’t cover it …

How can we as a Board of Directors and Games Staff adequately convey our gratitude towards the amazing group of sponsors and volunteers who were the heart, soul and backbone of these Games? Without your willingness to step up and help us get the job done, we could not have pulled off this huge undertaking. Our sincere hope is that you found time during Games week to enjoy some of the events and venues you helped bring to reality. Please know that all of your efforts were very much appreciated and that we are so grateful you were a part of the Games experience.

Message from the Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation:

Cindy Ady

On behalf of Premier Stelmach and the Government of Alberta, I am very pleased to congratulate the Peace Region and to share in the excitement and anticipation in hosting the 2010 Alberta Summer Games from July 19-25.

Sport and recreation play an important role in Albertans’ quality of life.  The Games provide an opportunity for Alberta's emerging athletes to compete against the very best within our province.  Our young athletes are a wonderful example to Albertans in leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

I would like to commend the organizers, the volunteers and the residents of the region on your efforts to build a great Games experience for all the participants.   There is no doubt that the Peace Region will put forth a memorable event for everyone involved.

All the best to the athletes, organizers and everyone involved.  We look forward to the start of the 2010 Alberta Summer Games!

Cindy Ady
